FAQs

Do I have to attend the show in person to compete?

Nope! You can mail in your entry. Just make sure to include a prepaid return shipping label so we can send it back to you after the show.

What’s the difference between Novice and Open divisions?

Novice is for newer makers or first-time competitors. Open is for more experienced entrants. Choose what feels right—there’s no judgment, just great craftsmanship.

Can I enter more than one competition?

Yes! You’re welcome to enter as many competition categories as you'd like. You can also submit up to three entries per category, so if you’ve got more than one great piece—bring them all.

Can I get feedback even if I don’t win?

Yes! Every competitor receives detailed feedback from our judging panel, emailed after the show. Whether you place or not, you’ll walk away with insights to help you grow your craft.

Is there a deadline to submit my entry?

Yes. All entries must be received before judging begins:

  • In-person delivery: Wednesday, January 7 from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Southwest Leather Masters Competition registration desk (South Point).
  • Shipped entries: Must arrive on or before Friday, January 2 to be eligible for judging. Ship to:
